These are the people funding the anti-immigrant rhetoric and parties like reform to stop people looking their way.

Just in case there was any doubt.

But wouldn't they be pro-immigration for cheap labour/wages according to the right wing?

Worrying sign as well that we've seen the biggest dip of billionaires in the UK for 37 years according to the new Times richest list. We need the super rich to stay here not be scared off by government policies.

Sadly, my family is not in the 50. But Bossman's surely is? And Mr Dawson doesn't seem to do much work! :D:D:D

Notice how the “anti immigrant” parties never actually do anything to lower immigration but instead use the fearmongering to gain power and then use it to reduce workers rights and give massive tax cuts to companies and billionaires.

With a bit of announcing that the problems are all solved because it’s almost entirely a made up problem anyway

I’m absolutely terrified that the mighty billionaires might leave.

    Whatever will we do.

We need as many billionaires here paying tax to fund things. Losing them to other countries isn't good.

I’m not saying I don’t agree with that, however I’ll mention it again - the royal family, no IHT on queenies or any future deaths - what’s the difference? More so with the royals as we’ve paid for their wealth !

We can’t make billionaires pay taxes or they’ll leave and then we lose their taxes.

    Or summat.

but…but…but…it’s okay if billionaires don’t pay their way and make more money, cos then they expand their businesses and employ a squillion more people and give them generous wages, so the money all trickles down.

Or they buy property and art and tie it all up in trusts, whilst diverting their money into offshore ‘companies’ in tax havens, loaning themselves money, rather than paying themselves, to avoid paying any more beastly tax, meaning that people earning £25k per year actually pay a higher percentage of their income in tax than the billionaire does. It’s one of those.

I’d be brilliant at being a billionaire. My money would trickle down. Mainly into record shops…

The top one per cent pay 30 per cent of all income tax revenues, a higher share than at any time in past 20 years. £3 in every £10 that the government receives in income tax is paid by just over 300,000 people
