Interesting comments from Henderson post-match, he said if Haaland took it he had no idea, but with Marmoush he knew which way he'd go and he'd save it.

City's downfall this season is largely related to recruitment.

Doku and Savinho don't fit their style, I've no idea why they think they're players you'd start in a cup final ahead of Foden and Grealish. Gundogan coming back was just a panic that tilted the overall balance of the side to have too little physically.

And they let Alvarez go to help fund it. Bad decisions all round.

Yeah that's my point in regards to the financial 'doping'. People had no objections 15 year ago, even Arsenal paying officials off to get promoted at ours & Spurs expense 100 years ago. It's always happened. People aren't really arsed, they're just bothered because theyre actually winning stuff because of it, unlike United now who have spent godly amounts since Fergie and are *****. If they won fk all nobody would really, genuinely care.

Agree with rest of your points though.

Spent nowt in Summer, did well in Jan, I think all 3 big signings in Jan will come good. If they do end up with Wirtz, they'll be a real force again. I really don't rate Akanji, solid prem player but nowhere near good enough for City to play this regularly. Though he's been a great signing at 17 million or whatever it was. Someone like Konate would be perfect at the side of Dias.

    Maybe I'm a dinosaur.
I'm sick of watching tippy tappy from the back stuff.
I'm sick of all the players being clones of each other.
I think football has become very dull and repetitive.

Read his last point again mate, all those clubs he mentioned don't play tippy tappy *****. In fact, I think it's probably been the most entertaining season in the premier league performances-wise for a good few years.

Maybe I should try and watch more then. I'll admit I've zoned out massively the last few years.
Seen a fair bit of Liverpool and agree they don't.
Hopefully the tide is turning then and the pep love in can end.
Seeing trams come up fro. The championship and trying to play open attacking football and get relegated is depressing.
People are or were so set on playing the "right" way it seemed results didn't matter.

I get that but they aren’t the only ones though, the rest of football is just as complicit by tolerating all that goes on

I get the feeling largely stems from envy of success ala man united back in the day

Yeah over the last couple of years, everyone trying to copy Pep, has really diminished the attraction of watching football. But Ive been really impressed with a lot of teams this season, lots of variation, much more enjoyable than watching City. Although as someone mentioned, theyve been fun to watch at times because theyve been dodgy as **** at the back!

You watch city and you realise what the issue is in seconds.

You have players like Grealish and Foden at the club, who like to drop a shoulder, beat a man, be direct.

They always take a touch and play the simple ball. No risks to try and be creative. It’s coached out of them.

Doku hasn’t been there as long. He still has a run at defenders sometimes - but it won’t be long before he doesn’t.

    It’s turgid, it’s pedestrian, and it’s predictable.

All that talent and look at today. Ok if the officials do their job properly they’re probably playing against ten men for a long time but would that actually have affected the outcome necessarily? They had all the ball and territory anyway.

Pep will go down as an all time great, he’s had huge success at three clubs in three countries - but I do wonder if he needs a change of scenery and a year off now. His team look stale this year.

I'll be shocked if they aren't back with a vengeance next season mate. He said he was going to leave this season, but in November when it was going incredibly poorly, he signed the extention.I'd be very surprised if they dont recover. Especially with signings like Wirts if it does happen
