Cosmos 482 is about to enter earth atmosphere tomorrow and the Russians don't know exactly where it will crash. And the UK is on its flypath! Well it's been a poor season so might as well go out with a bang.

Well it weighs slightly less than a Fiat Cinquecento if that helps.

Don’t think it can hit as far North as Barnsley.
Any given approximately 60% of the world is in its prospective impact zone, I reckon we’re probably safe.
Be a shame if it landed on Moscow though.

Scientists say it could land in either North, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, or even Australia, not pinpointing it much, they reckon it'll burn up in re - entry and the risk to life is low, you will be unlucky to get hit by it, cheers for that i'll put mi fooookin brolly up then

Just for context there are about 4000 satellites in lower earth orbit. I remember in the late sixties and seventies they were sending them up every week without much thought of getting them down safely. And these things travel at about 80,000 mph.

Well, according to Khaled there was already a hole in it, so I doubt they'd pay out even if it was!

I’m relieved! I was worried it might have been a permanent goodbye for another reason.
