    Reckon in a weird way his stock might have gone up after his time with us. The period since he left might suggest he got the best out of what he had.

    I will say I didn’t rate him at the time and didn’t lose any sleep when we sacked him.

    Good luck to him - he’s not a bad bloke or manager. Just needs the right club at the right time, like they all do.

    Not sure I’d be jumping into that job if I was him. It sounds even worse run than our club.

    If he’s willing to wait I bet he’ll get a league one gig at some point next season but I suppose that’s easy for me to say when he’ll want to earn a living.

    Interestingly he was on the EFL podcast on the BBC last week. I thought this will be good I wonder what he’ll say about Barnsley. I obviously didn’t expect him to spill the beans but I thought there might at least an interesting comment or two from him & they never asked him about leaving us. What a waste.
