Nah, not when it’s a last minute (6th minute too!) goal for automatic promotion. Running on end of season when you’ve failed to make the play offs is pathetic but I can definitely understand people getting carried away in the emotion of how they got promoted, even though I wouldn’t do it myself.
All boils down to which club we’re on about. I hate it myself but we can’t choose which set of fans are scumbags for the same action as a different club. That’s just not how it is.
Remember Millwall did it at Wembley against Bradford, near the last minute of the game. And they were called scum and morons etc, for celebrating promotion. I'm not sure why its acceptable though when Bradford or Doncaster do it.
Maybe it’s different people saying the different things? I certainly didn’t call them scum and I won’t call Bradford or Doncaster it either.
No maybe not, but they were of course battered by most neutral fans, because of their reputation. I think it was the year after we did them at Wembley, and admittedly when you look at their behaviour that day, its understandable. But like I say, I just don't understand the ohh brilliant Bradford fans thing, when they've done basically the same thing.
Bradford didn’t do it at Wembley. Most teams do it following automatic promotion but everyone knows not to run onto the pitch at Wembley, that’s the difference.
Was it you that " walked home" 10 years ago when we walked from Oakwell to VP in aid of Bradford Burns Unit?
Glad to see Bradford promoted and a crowd of 24k for League Two is very impressive, but you have to feel for Walsall fans. They were about 20 points clear of 4th place at one point. They must hate Mark Robins. He recalled Nathan Lowe, who had scored 15 in 22 in the league for Walsall, yet barely played him.
Pretty sure I walked into Bradford with you when we did that walk 10 years ago. You were shaking bucket after we left Tong School????
Yes mate, 10 long years, eh? That's my lad approaching Bradford on my profile pic. It had got quite warm at that point.
If you asked him that question I imagine he’d say Bradford. As others have said though he shouldn’t really have a say with him on a long term contract with us.
Wasn't that down to the police not the club that day. I've been twice the time under wilson and the time under Lee Jay. Beat both times.
