Some of the contracts to 2027 scare me - particularly Nwakali - hope he’s not on a lot.

Decent players thrive alongside other decent players in the team. He has shown he can play, as have others. If we can get a stable defence. As that's where the biggest problem lies. And a decent target man. It'll be down to Conor to get em all performing and that will be down to training and tactics. Cos I don't know who is doing the defensive side, but I'm sure I could do better. Maybe bring Nicky into the first team set up. Although I'm sure someone said he prefers teaching the kids.

I’d expect most of the out of contract players to leave. Maybe keep Flavell and Humphreys? Assuming there are 5/6 players returning from loan or capable of stepping up from the academy, we need to sign several players. And that’s before we accept offers for any of the first teamers. It’s not looking good, unless Conor is allowed to bring in some quality.

Reckon Nwakali will be on a decent whack. Quite a good pedigree to be fair. Decent enough player but goes missing too easily when we’re out of possession. Josh Earl until 2027 is frightening.

    I'd try to keep Humphrys.
    One of my favourite players.

They are the only 2 I can see us keeping though doubtless Mladen is drawing up contracts for Lewis and Rodrigues now

I like him too, but I reckon he's expensive. Probably not worth the money for the budget we'll be playing with.

I'm not against us spending more for quality, but I don't think he's anywhere near good enough to be one of the two or three big hitters in terms of salary, which is almost certainly where he's sitting at the moment. DKD's the only one who's definitely in that bracket, maybe Phillips and Robbo.

All of the '25 crew should be let go, for me. There's potential in most of the '26 and '27 crew.

Its disappointing how its gone downhill for Pines, after the impressive way he started a few years ago.
And in a shorter space of time, the same could be said about Nwakali.

To be fair, Lewis might turn out to be pretty good.

Khaled's parting shot was to give Max Watters a 3 year deal. Jesus Christ we have another year of him :D

Isn't it strange football, Josh Earl was 1 of only 2 players someone on here wanted to keep, and 1 of about 4/5 another poster wanted. We all see different things!

Yep, let em all go. Be ruthless. Get 10 off the wage bill and trim the squad. Then tell the 2026 brigade 'youre next'.

He has some attributes, he’s decent with the ball at his feet and can pick a pass. Surely anyone can see though that he is so slow. The QE2 could turn quicker. He’ll get done for pace time and again at LB and he’ll come up against far better than the Shrewsbury wide player that left him for dead on Saturday.

Not sure why you picked him out. There’s a few I’d worry about before him.
