What's happened to the ticket pay machines? Went into Tarn this morning and there's no machines towards Old Mill Lane end and only saw 2 machines closer to Regent Street exit and one of those was out of service. Pretty certain there were at least 4 or 5 machines last time I parked there.

Been int tarn this morning & was talking to one of the Parking Enforcement Officers. The missing ticket machines were of the older type & were ram raided by thieves. They are NOT being replaced due to the upcoming planned works that are planned.

What works are planned, please? Will it affect match day parking?

Thank you. I’d rather not lose parking spaces but to be fair, the lower car park gets people in there driving doughnuts and the new area will look attractive to people exiting the interchange. I just wish the Glassworks multistory wasn’t such a spiral as I can’t use it with my vertigo. It’s so frustrating.

Good old BMBC spent a fortune revitalising the town only to shut one of the car parks

Great so an area that has just seen a robbery and also where idiots drive round like silly beggars at night is now going to be turned into a 5 million pound park. No doubt that will be ruined within weeks, what is it with BMBC spending fortunes on absolute nonsense. Vanity council

Isn't it a good idea to remove an area that idiots are driving around like silly beggars at night and replace it with something the community as a whole can enjoy?

And the car park at side of McDonald's/Meatmart " temporarily " closed so BMBC can put home to school buses in.

Same council who have transformed our town into a place where people want to visit. I remember lots of folk talking down the idea as a waste of time. Why not wait and see the outcome afore commenting.
