What position was lembikisa playing when we took a 'striker' off for him?

Was he playing up front or did we switch the formation and concede three in quick succession?

I can guarantee no-one - including him - knows. He's just there because Mladen wanted to show we'd signed someone. May as well have been Dexter from Dexters Laboratory

    Left wing I guess.

Cotter also coming on up front again is kinda weird.

I guess Jon Lewis’ time with us will be one of these things where in about 5 years we’ll be like “remember that American winger we signed for a few months? Jon Lewis was it?” “Nah that’s a shop you dafty.”

I’d say left wing same position as Humphries but much less effective

Seems a bizarre substitution. Right back brought on to play left wing when O'Keeffe and Cotter were in the bench

You would have thought Lewis left wing would have been the obvious change.

In fairness, we could have put every sub on, not taken anyone off, and they’d have still capitulated. Because they’re so used to losing, so used to folding. It started around 12 to 13 months ago and another two coaches later, it’s not changing.

Different shape today. So it’s not a pure back three thing. There was no Pines or MDG in defence either. Same disastrous outcomes in the second halves regardless.

There’s no cash. They’ll have to sell DKD and others this summer. It’s in need of a major reset and clear out. But they haven’t the money. And, based on what Neerav and Mladen said in their respective interviews, I don’t think they see what we do.

It’s worth pointing out that Roberts was a shambles today as well. Because he’s lauded as the best we’ve got.

On topic - I’ve no idea what Lembikisa is. Never mind where he played. He’s proven the type of player I was told he’d be, by mates at Rotherham. A mess. That was their description of him. A mess. Which is fitting for us right now.

Lembikisa put the ball down to take a quick free kick today, but he put the ball down outside the touchline. Fortunately a nearby teammate grabbed the ball and spared his blushes, as he was about to kick it. Just when you think you’ve seen every level of ineptitude on a football pitch, there’s always someone to prove you wrong.

The lack of quality options available from the bench has killed us all season and again today when we needed a goal the best we could do was to bring on wingbacks who hardly ever score, god knows how bad that Rodrigues kid must be.

Mladen should be sacked for this signing alone. If he'd done just a tiny bit of due diligence then he'd have found out that this kid is absolute dog ****.

His name is a shop, his name is a sho-op, that boy Jon Lewis, his name is a shop.

His name wins at scrabble, his name wins at scrab-ble; Dexter Lembikisa, his name wins at scrabble

    Agree with all that.

I guess the hope for the summer and next season is that we pull a few rabbits out of the hat in terms of free transfers/bargain deals/loan signings and/or it all clicks again for the head coach.

It’s never a dull summer that’s for sure.

Maybe Hourihane was trying to make a point to the owners and DOF in that he was saying to them look at the crap I have to work with.

Hourihane must be given assurances as to who he can bring in over the Summer otherwise it'll be a case of rinse and repeat.

At first that made me laugh. Then my mind tried to conjure up an image and I needed a sit down. Particularly as the only cowboys I know are John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. And one of them is dead.
