No reason to change a winning team.

Good to see Benson back again. Was doing well prior to his latest injury.

Conor seems to like Benson (as do I). I wonder if the appointment of Conor full time will mean Benson gets an extension? I guess like with any player, it will come down to wages.

Correct to keep the same team.

Glad even though Gauci is back, Flavell has kept his place.

I like Benson, but he's always one challenge/sprint away from another injury. Too risky.

I’d probably agree to be honest. Massive shame because I reckon if he gets a few games he could be one of our better players.

He's the biggest earner at the club, the last of the Championship contracts. He won't get an offer anywhere for even half that. So if he was happy to take a 50-75% cut, which is the sort of wage he'll end up on wherever he goes, then I wouldn't be against it. Based on his talent and versatility.

But, even as his biggest fan, I'm not sure it's wise. He breaks down constantly. And in my time there, he did so many things to fix it. Moved to Leeds from Manchester, so as to lessen the commute. Then car shared, so he wasn't always driving. Altered his diet. Loads of little things. Plus the different surgeries and so on. I think sadly, some bodies can't cope with the rigours of regular sport.

Don't doubt that wherever he goes, he plays 50+ games next season. :D

It’s good that the club and him are seemingly trying various things to try and combat it. I guess he’s just incredibly unlucky. Makes it worse because I think if he had a couple of seasons of fit and healthy football, he’d be great for us.

It would be very typical of him to go somewhere and play a full season for someone else. I think at this point, as frustrating as it would be from our side, I think I’d be pleased for Josh.
