We are delighted to announce that Barnsley forward Davis Keillor-Dunn has been nominated for the EFL League One Player of the Season at the 2025 EFL Awards. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a sensational campaign at Oakwell, currently leading the Reds' scoring charts with 15 goals. His flair, composure in front of goal, and relentless work rate have not only made him a fan favourite but also a key figure in Barnsley’s side. Keillor-Dunn is one of three players shortlisted for the prestigious honour, joining Richard Kone of Wycombe Wanderers and Tomoki Iwata of Birmingham City. The trio have been recognised for their outstanding contributions across the campaign, with each playing a pivotal role in their respective teams' push for success. The winners will be revealed at the 2025 EFL Awards, held in London on Sunday 27 April, with coverage live on Sky Sports Football from 8:30pm. Everyone at Barnsley FC is incredibly proud of Davis and congratulates him on this well-deserved recognition. Continue reading...
Would be great if he won that award but let’s be realistic. He’s got no chance. Incredible there’s no Wrexham player on that shortlist. They’ll probably notice the omission soon and put it right before the night. Teams like mid-table Barnsley can’t be winning awards, can they. Being so rubbish, like….
He has had a good season but no way has he been best player in division, choose which team the player of the season plays for.
Well done DKD. Best number 10 in the league and if it wasn’t for him, we’d be near the bottom. On a side note, interesting that the Brum player isn’t Alfie May. Always goes under the radar does that fella. Been the best player in the league this season, just like he was with Bishop and Mendez-Laing last season. Made a right boo-boo not signing him under Duff. Fair play to Richard Kone as well. Think Charlie Kelman will be gutted he was pipped but both had great seasons.
Why, just because we’ve had a poor season? You don’t provide a name you think should win it it and why they should. Don’t forget it’s easier to shine and stand out in a team that has had a good season than one that is struggling.
Only my opinion mate, hopefully DKD stays with us and next season kicks on and is the best player in league
Absolutely, I was just making a point that their can be players that have had a good season playing in teams other than those at the top
