Hey the Micky Bassett film is always my go-to film, to help cheer me up lol. When Barnsley or England have let me down and disappointed me, which really does happen quite regularly.
But how many fans have seen the Bassett Itv series spin-off, which kind of went under the radar and hardly ever gets mentioned.
It might sound weird, but I really do like this as the opening titles song. Although I've never heard of it or the band before lol.

I didn't realise there was a TV series. I might look that one up. Was it any good?

To be honest Bud, it was more of the same, after the film. But it is worth watching if you liked the film, obviously lol.
But different actors were brought in, to play the parts of Doddsy, and Kevin Tomka Tomkinson.

I think a lot of people who played FIFA & watched Soccer AM during its hey day will remember Embrace. They had their songs on FIFA & went on Soccer AM a few times.

Out of Nothing had quite a bit of success, Ashes was my favourite song of there’s & the song you mention, Gravity was on there was on there too.

I remember watching the spin off series at the time but couldn’t tell you a thing about it. I’d even forgot there was a spin off series. It’s only the theme tune that’s reminded me of it.

I hadn’t heard of them before I saw them live at the IOW Festival in 2005. They were pretty big at that time and were ranked third on the Sunday night bill after REM and Snow Patrol. Very good lineup that year with the likes of Roxy Music, Travis, Faithless, Razorlight, Starsailor and others well worth watching. It’s a measure of how much time has gone by that I wouldn’t go these days even if they gave me a free weekend ticket.

You've never heard of embrace? A brilliant band, seen them a few times, from Huddersfield. Fireworks is a top tune

Barnsley get's a mention in the tv series. He wife (played by Amanda Redman) states he took her to Barnsley Cinema on their first date. That's about as much as I remember.

I used to have a thing about Amanda Redman lol, on this program and on New tricks as well.
It's funny listening to her stories about following Mike around as his wife, and she quite naughtily mentions a few of the Leeds players.
There was a bit about whether Norman Hunter was a good kisser or not, and whether Trevor Cherry actually 'took her cherry' lol.
