Few of our fans had heard of him. Worldwide known names usually mean something. Brady with Birmingham. Wrexham. Salford.

 

I like Modric. He's a name indeed, and I wish him the best.

But there's no guarantee of success

Yeah I agree Andy, he's always been a quality player hasn't he. And while this connection with Swanny Fc does seem weird, I wish him all the best (unless it's against us).

 

Incredible player mate. I remember when he first joined Madrid though and I'm sure he got voted by their fans as worth signing in past 10 years at the time. Or something like that- imagine the pressure he must have been feeling and its credit to him for the player he turned into. Phenomenal

 

Was going to start a new thread and then saw this one.

Does having ex-footballers as owners negate the need for a “director of football?”
Is it a shrewd move by clubs to be getting actual football experience as well as money invested, rather than it costing them?
