I agree he shouldn't have gone public.
Maybe he'll learn from it. But no-one is bigger than the club and regardless of who it is. It's not one rule for some and not the others.
We had an incident many years ago. Where weekend overtime was banned if you laiked int week. Him who set the rules wanted one person in who'd broke the rule. That rule lasted less than a couple of weeks or so. As everyone kicked off.

I can't find the usual post-game interviews with the manager and a selected player on the official site. Too afraid to face the music?

Bingo. So many people are talking like he's some kind of god who we should give the job to just because he was a good midfielder for us a few years ago. Two of his biggest supporters who want him to get the job have already admitted having "man crushes" on him

We’ve gone into free fall since he came in - I’m not sure what anyone sees to think we should give him the gig full time blame the players all you want but Clarke got more points out of them than Conor is and there’s been no upturn in form whatsoever.

but we are here because of how we are ran badly so I expect he will get the gig even though it’s already looking like it’s doomed.

At this point I couldn’t care less who we appoint. What I do care about is the owners taking responsibility & becoming transparent about how we are going to progress as a club on & off the field. The first port of call is admitting they were wrong to appoint Sormaz, relieving him of his duties & appointing someone who knows what they are doing. The next step is outlining a long term plan, which includes the new manager whoever that may be, & more importantly giving the manager more free rein over signings, tactics & formations to implement. & of course most importantly utilising the academy more & creating a clearer pathway into the first team for our academy prospects.
What’s key in all this though is the owners coming out & reiterating that whoever the manager will be won’t get sacked even if we go through some bad form over the next couple of seasons. Communicate real expectations, say promotion by 2028. By which point if we do get promoted we should be in a stronger position to be competitive in the league above.

The off the field stuff such as matchday experience takes care of itself if the supporters, owners, players & management team are all singing off the same hymn sheet. We need to be a community club again. At present everyone is pulling in different directions, whilst the club regresses.

Can’t disagree with any of that. Parekh seems adamant that Sormaz is doing a good job though and that’s the most worrying thing. I imagine ST sales right now are at their lowest level in many years so they’ll have to do something to entice people to renew. Sacking Sormaz would be a good start.

Interesting point about community club etc.
As I see it we have three Senior employees in Zuk, Flatman & Sormaz but can’t imagine any of them 3 will be targeted with making it a community club/all pulling together.
So who does have that focus in the day to day running of the club?
