    Roberts out with concusion.

Smith and Gauci both a few weeks away.

Flavell between the sticks with Hayton on the bench.

    Pines and Jalo both back.

I'd give jalo a run until end of season now. Hasn't started a league game so far. Seasons over give him a go.

Agreed. Now is the time to give him a start of Humphrys who I don't see being here next season.

What a brilliant opportunity for Flavell. Good luck to the kid

In fairness, had it not been for injuries I think we'd have seen a lot more of him this season. Whilst I agree with the sentiment of your post, I wouldn't want to rush him back either and risk him aggravating a past injury. It wouldn't take much to reverse the rehab of a dislocated shoulder I imagine.

Fair point. I think Humphrys last goal came away at Cambridge so maybe he will score on the return leg at the weekend.

Great business sense not to waste money bringing in someone else's kid at the expense of our own. I really hope we do this more often.

Had marsh been kept here and played week after week instead of Humphreys we would be many thousands of pounds better off and he couldn't possibly have performed any worse.
Same goes in many positions and players over the last few years. Bringing in **** players at the expense of giving our own a PROPER run in the team.

    Brilliant decision. Well done bfc

Much as I agree with the general sentiment, isn't Humphrys one of our own players?

He is but I meant 'our own' more as in players who've come through our academy rather than players we've signed on bigger wages.

The signing of Humphrys was bizarre. A right winger who had only ever managed doubled figures in a league season once in his entire career with the intention of playing him as a centre forward, something that even Humphrys himself admits he is now having to learn how to do at the age of 27, 9 years after making his professional debut as a winger.

And isn't he only on a 1 year contract, with an option for another year, which under normal circumstances you'd expect we wouldn't pursue, but given Sormaz is calling the shots, who knows.

Liked a lot of posts. However, Humphrys didn't have a full pre-season. Still looks a few pounds over weight. A real 5hit house when I've seen him play.

I'd exercise option if money right because our pain might be someone else's gain and he clearly has quality. As does Watters.

Main problem this season has been fitness. I can run quicker.

His main problem this season is that he's a right winger in a team that for the last god knows how many years, has played with wingback, not wingers.

27 year old professional footballer should be able to get himself fit by this stage of the season

He clearly hasn't though he's running me close for overhang.

That kind of is my point.

To be fair I thought wingers were supposed to run and have some pace. He's no striker having watched him play over 30 times this season I'm not convinced he's a winger either or at least his attributes don't fill me with confidence.

I don't think Marsh is near league one level either no where near unfortunately. Shame at one bit he looked promising at 19 or so.

I wonder if maybe Humphrys looks unfit because he's spent the season trying to bulk up or change his physical attributes to play as a target man like we seem to want him

Not sure would explain a few things. I always feel like I'm harsh on Humphrys but for me he's been disappointing, looked unfit most of the time, easily dispossessed, workrate suspect. And probably on a decent whack. Not sure if he will be here next season if he is I don't want to see him try play striker for another season.

I’ll be gutted if we exercise the option for Humphry’s extra year. He’s been shocking for over 3 months. Get rid ASAP. Shame we can’t offload Watters too.
Worrying thing is that Mladen will find someone a lot worse.
