    Belter here.

Daughters U18s drew 3v3 against a team who turned up with 9 players

    Reds shambles

I missed both of these as went to Cardiff to cheer on Wales in the rugby

Legged it back yesterday to watch daughters open age team lose 2-1 to a dodgy pen against the unbeaten league leaders.

    Sport truly is rubbish.....

Don't worry, we'll soon be into the territory of on the same weekend me being able to see Barnsley, Wakefield Trinity and Yorkshire CCC lose

Without looking up the historical records I am guessing that the Wales rugby humiliation is the biggest ever by England, at home? I recorded it and watched it on FF (1 minute at a time) but I had to keep rewinding as I had missed yet another try :D.

Cheered me up big time after that humiliation at Field Mill earlier which I had the pleasure of NOT seeing, thank goodness.

England game was the highlight. Scotland capitulating and the bunker ref chickening out of sending the French hooker off was disappointing but a France win was expected.

Reds loss was woeful. But no more or less than I expect now to be honest.

Worst point for me was my 17yo lads’ rugby team’s performance at Keighley RUFC Sunday afternoon.

The backs decided that tackling isn’t for them. The lad at fullback, other than wearing a fifteen shirt and standing roughly at the back, you’d never know what he was meant to be. He’s tall and quick - allegedly - at one point he got side stepped and beaten in a foot race by a quite rotund second row….

Finished 63-38, had a stench of end of season friendly from the start as neither side was great defensively at all. Troff jr did score a try, and he doesn’t get many - though he didn’t care about that, he was fuming with his full back and inside centre for being ‘absolute f.ucking shithouses’ - I think that’s a rugby term.

Knew it was going to be a long afternoon when the score was 21-0 after six minutes. They did well to put a bit of respect on it to be fair.

    EDIT

Got home on time to see the majority of the league cup final. Newcastle were very worthy winners.

Biggest defeat ever at home, full stop, I think the Comms said during the game.
