Yep. To be fair to them the last few keepers they've brought in have been decent (Isted & Roberts). Think I'd rather we signed them based on their ability to keep it out of the net than this b.llocks perception of being a sweeper too.

One of whom made just one sub appearance, another made just 3 sub appearances, another just 4 sub appearances, and yet another one start and one sub appearance.

Keeper played every minute of every game which helped. Another 4 players had 40+ league starts.

I don't think the data model has changed much, just the budget for each individual transfer has gone significantly down.

 

The data model has definitely changed that was one of the reasons for the sporting directors appointment, his ability (supposedly) to interprate data we couldn't and move to that model.

 

Employing someone because you think they're good at interpreting the data doesn't mean youve changed the data model.

The data model we operated under James Cryne often referred to the spreadsheet has gone, that was his own model, the club no longer use that model - we've changed data models

4 of them had just 1 start and 9 sub appearances between them.

Our most successful ever season was achieved by basically using 17 players.

Wilson only ever seemed to contemplate a few things.
Thompson is injured, who shall I play at left wing back?
Who shall I play behind the strikers, Liddell, Marcelle or Bullock?
This lot are direct, should I keep Appleby as sweeper or play 3 centre halves?
Bosancic is looking good in training, think I'll play him ahead of Sheridan today.

That's it apart from covering niggles and suspensions. And, when Davis got injured, he didn't go out and sign another centre half, he'd gradually brought Adie Moses through and trusted him to step in.
