Definitely earlier noughties display. Don’t think he’ll lose his job though. We’ll draw Huddersfield at weekend and then the same at Rotherham. Will slow down things. Issue is that as soon as play offs look like a write off, they might bin him off.
Let's be honest, the only reason he's still here is because the Board can't afford to pay his contract up.
Huge summer indeed. Needs someone that can organize a team and make us less hard to beat. At least Warne can do that.
I'd chuck Flatman in the same bin. Just a feeling, but there's been something wrong about the club since he came on board. Communication wasn't great before, but has died a death now. Staff leaving, weird appointments, I dunno......
His record at L1 level would be higher than a 40% win rate I'm sure. Don't forget he's managed some poor Rotherham sides in championship which is always going to lead to more losses than wins
When his departure got announced I actually thought this for a second. Would love it but can’t see it.
On paper makes perfect sense. Sadly this board don't have much common sense. L1 promotion expert, will live fairly locally, works well on a budget and even worked with Conor before so shouldn't be any issue there in keeping him around coaching.
Why on earth would Paul Warne come here. If Clarke is to be sacked then his replacement would be internal or someone of Asbaghi’s standard
No one with any reputation as a coach would touch working for these clowns. We played the second half with LWB from the Irish league at centre forward…..just after a transfer window has closed. We strengthened the squad though apparently,
Whilst I agree this board is *****. The fact we played with a LWB up top second half is also down to Clarke to be fair. He chose to not use several strikers up top and they've since been shipped out on loan as he couldn't get a tune out of em. He also had a promising young striker on bench today that he blatantly ignored to instead go with said LWB. We all know squad is lacking in certain areas, but DC is often guilty of choosing to put square pegs in round holes.
There's absolutely no way any manager with anything about him, would work under these conditions, having a style of play that they want and not being backed, you'd run a mile. Be Hourihane until EOS cheap option fans favourite, my town, my team big push now to mount a serious challenge next season, players better for the experience, Early bird offer still available, that's pretty much the running order until May.
He might not, but he HAS to be number one on the list and contacted. If he chooses not to then it's another sign of how much of a mess we are.
