A thread a couple of weeks ago about worst defenders. Get Pines on that list. He’s an absolute calamity.

As for the Manager. He’s as bad as the recruitment. Slow. Slow. Slow. Turgid. Caught out under long balls, no pace, we move the ball at such a pedestrian rate teams just sit and watch us. They don’t have to do anything at all. We look lacking in fight, effort. Let’s be honest the players are going through the motions. They can be rubbish as long as we scrap and fight for everything but we just don’t. It’s pathetic.

We weren't good by any stretch but nothing had happened of note before Pines decided to miskick a clearance and then fall over. Then as usually happens, we shìt ourselves and immediately nearly conceded a second, then gave away a needless penalty. Not unlucky, just the usual cack.
