You are not wrong there and to think there was a time when Mike Spinks and crew thought it good enough for the team to come out to. Talking of that, the current garbage that is played prior to Cocoon makes me wanna puke. Dont ask me what it is cos I have no idea.
Come to think of it, it might have been that and not the birdie song. I know I was passing Oakwell when they were trying it out and Spinksy asked me if I liked the new walk out music . I cant repeat on here what I said.
That was the first and only record that I ever bought. As for it being dreadful and unfunny though, well each to their own ehh. And as with all of these constant Best... and Worst... threads, its all down to people's different tastes and opinions innit!!.
Nah, I'm always right! Having said that I can remember buying 'Ernie, the fastest milkman in the west' when I was a little kid so who am I to criticise?
Well as I kid, I was so excited at being in a record shop in the late 70s (no cd's then of course), and buying a record with what I called my very own pocket money. But as for dreadful and unfunny, maybe that does almost describe the B side song... Sick man blues. " throwing up, throwing up.. up up yeah!!. "
In my immature youth I can remember putting 'The winkers song' by Ivor Biggun on the jukebox just to irritate folk in the pub. Really immature and a waste of money.
Hey Kammo lol, I also did that as well once, back in about 1982!!. Somebody gave me 20p to put two songs on the pub juke box, and there were a mouthy bunch in there who I couldn't stand (they, like certain other people, just simply couldn't take their shandy!). So I made them boo and swear a lot, by putting on... Seven tears, by The Goombay dance band.
We all criticise British and American music, but there is some truly dreadful stuff out there. Russian Nu-Metal and Mozambiquan Rap being particularly terrible.
Can't be worse than the Cheeky Girls - touch my bum mate P.s. I don't want you to touch my bum-I was referring to the song
I'd managed to wipe that monstrosity from my memory completely ... until you just put it back in there.
Ernie is a great record... ...." She said she'd like to bathe in milk, he said, "All right, sweetheart, " And when he'd finished work one night he loaded up his cart. He said, "D'you want it pasteurized? 'Cause pasteurized is best, " She says, "Ernie, I'll be happy if it comes up to my chest."
There's a lot of tripe what has been released over the past 20 years what I cant stand. I hate listening to a pop music radio because it's constant. Loads of them sound roughly the same and then some just sound absolutely *****.
