[BFC SITE] Tickets | Sheffield United (H) | Carabao Cup Second Round

The Round Two schedule for the Carabao Cup has been released this morning.

It has been confirmed that Barnsley will take on Sheffield United at Oakwell on Tuesday 27th August, in a 7:45pm kick-off.

The Reds gained entry into the second round courtesy of a first-round penalty shootout victory over Wigan Athletic last Tuesday, following a 1-1 draw.

The game against our South Yorkshire rivals will be available to watch on Sky Sports+. It will also be available to view on iFollow.

Ticketing information for the fixture is as follows:

Adults: £17

Senior (65+): £13

Young Adult (19 – 21): £13

Under 19: £8

Under 14: £4

Prices will increase by £2 on the day, subject to availability.

All stands will be open for this fixture, and tickets will be sold in the following priority order:

2pm Monday 19th August

Tickets will go on sale to 2024/25 season tickets holders, who will have their seats reserved in for them to buy.

When buying online, you can select your reserved seats by clicking on the account icon at the top of the page before clicking on the reserved tickets notification.

You will then be able to add your ticket, along with anyone else’s ticket in your network, to your basket to purchase.

10am Thursday 22nd August

Tickets will go on sale to supporters who have a previous purchase history with us up to and including the Mansfield Town fixture which was played on Friday 9th August.

We will not be accepting any new registrations for tickets for this fixture.

Supporters can purchase tickets online, over the phone at 01226 211183, or by visiting our Box Office at Oakwell.

We advise supporters to select the digital ticket delivery option for their fulfilment.

Don't think I'll be going at £17!

It'll be up to us old buggers to cheer the lads on for £13 then

 

And the young uns!

 

We've only played them twice at Oakwell in the past 8 years and it's still the summer holiday. I'd hope our ends will be busy with us giving them 5,000.

 

Doubt theyll sell 2000

At one time the competition was highly valued from the early rounds. If I remember rightly prices only came down when sides took it less seriously till the latter stages. I reckon both sides will name decent teams if only for bragging rights for the fans especially ours.
We turned out a very good team/squad against Wigan, (far better than we turned out in previous seasons) I expect more so for this game.

I quite like how Preston do priority based on seasons in a row as a STH rather than a points tally.
