You keep on with your negativity, it obviously makes you feel good! How many games you giving Clarke before you call for his sacking?
Why can you not respond to reasonable replies? I’m actually saying it’s mad we are pinning our hopes on to him winning us promotion.
It's hard to respond with a reasonable reply to someone who highlights all of our new head coach's shortcomings whilst failing to highlight any of his past successes for balance / context. Clarke's past has been a mixed bag, however the club have strengthed the coaching team with the recent addition of Whitehead, that's a positive in my opinion. They now need to add on field reinforcements of a higher quality (strikers) to give Clarke the best chance of achieving success. What is success this season? I'd say a top 6 finish, but I'd caveat that comment by saying let's wait until our transfer dealings are complete and the squad strengths and weaknesses are known. The board completely screwed Neil Collins last summer, hopefully they've learnt from the error of their ways and don't do the same thing to Clarke this time round. In my opinion the league looks to be tougher than last season with more competitive teams, I could list 8 teams who I think could go well. Some of those may struggle whereas others who expect to struggle may do well and suprise a few. One thing is for sure, I won't be calling for Clarke's sacking if we get off to a rocky start.
Agree on some points however. I’m not pointing anything other than what he’s done. The whitehead thing only came about today so that’s a shot in dark on what it will actually mean. Happy to pick up to see what our actual recruitment looks like but until now nothing to get excited by so far
