    Really disappointed. I know he wanted to return but sounds like things haven't changed that much with Conway's departure. Having said that, there's not just one manager that can get us promoted. Let's see who we do appoint!

    Heckingbottom moaned because we sold winnall(who forced a move) Bree and conor. All 3 would have gone for nothing 6 months later similar to how we have let 4 1st team players go this season for nothing. We then backed hecky like we have no other barnsley manager ever.

    Hecky also signed a new contract days before his exit to Leeds.... Ensures current club gets a decent compo. Not saying thats whats happened here but lets see who it is when its announced. Not writing stendel off yet.

    I'd love to hear an explanation from the board explaining why they believe that their method of running a football club, given their complete vacuum of football knowledge, is going to be more successful for anyone associated with the club than the way nearly all other clubs are run.

    What gives them their innate self belief, when all the evidence points towards them being totally incompetent.

    I now have serious concerns.

    Whatever way the club is trying to sell itself appears to have little appeal.

    As a club we are a bit meh aren't we?

    I think he'd have been offered a new contract there anyway. He's done well over the years for them. Ramember this is the man who didn't take his wage at Hearts during Covid.

    Yep….and therein lies the problem. All well and good filling a position that was needed at the club but if they haven’t got the right credentials what’s the point?
