Reasons we haven't announced our new Head Coach yet

    We keep getting knocked back by our targets because nobody wants the job.

    Our preferred target is still involved with end of season games at his current club.

    More work permit issues.

    Cryne junior has forgotten the password that unlocks the new manager spreadsheet.

    The club are trolling the support base and have everything sorted out but aren't telling us.

    The club haven't got a clue who to approach next after their first choice for head coach was so crap he didn't qualify for a work permit to do the job.

    Everybody in authority at the club have ****** off on Holiday for 6 weeks and couldn't give a **** about the next head coach as they make all the player recruitment decisions anyway and the season doesn't start while August so they don't need the human shield sorry head coach until then.

    The board are adding to the growing list of monumental **** ups by dragging their feet on sorting the appointment of head coach out.

    My 2 possible reasons fwiw.

    1) Any manager who bothers to do his due diligence will see how we operate with regards to player incoming/outgoing and think nah
    2) We sacked a manager before the last game of the season while in the playoffs. If that's our new standard not many managers worth their salt especially ones in a job are going to see us as a good job

    Couple 1 with 2 and we aren't a attractive proposition

    Beleive me there will be managers killing themselves to get into management.
    There won't be a shortage of names in the list of applicants.

    Doesn't mean there are any good ones on the list, I'd love the job but I'm 99.999999% certain I'd be bloody crap at it but I'd kill for the chance.

    We are Barnsley, we don’t make a decision until the new season is on us, most of the good players are already signed to other clubs and we can’t get a full pre season in :D:D:D:D

    Nobody will want to commit until after euro 2024.

    It's slowed the market down. The right players weren't available and we didn't want to sign people without the right DNA for the sake of it.

    Well the board surely read this forum we have given them plenty of answers to which coaches we like. And i am sure they have worked it out that one or more of us are right. It is if they want to listen
