11700 home fans for a play off game when we’d had 14000 the week before against Northampton.

To be fair that's slightly misleading as league attendance includes all ST holders even if they didn't turn up (kids £10 tkts etc). Will have been about the same number of people there I reckon. Which is still not great granted

Think it speaks volumes about how the fans feel, 11000 for a play off match. Club have a lot of work to do to get us all back on side. Cos frankly we've had enough of having the **** taken out of us

Fans showed the club how they feel. If you cannot get them to come for a play off game, you have a job on to win them back.

Form will have taken a hit on attending.
Sky will have had a big bearing £0 if subscribers . A family of 4, £60+ to attend. I'm aware of quite a few who took that option but have renewed for next season. The ponty was way fuller than against Northampton. Less empty seats around me in the east stand (difficult to tell when you are sat in it re the whole picture). West stand was way less than northampton. It's not as simple as figures announced.
Next seasons Season ticket uptake will show a clearer picture.

West stand upper had lots of empty seats, gaps in West lower as well.

Pretty sparse in northern end of East stand.

A few empty around me at southern end of East upper.

Overall thought there were far less than at the Northampton game, although far better atmosphere.

I think we just have to admit that we only have a small fan base, it was a play off game and biggest game of season. I think the best period I can remember is the Clarke/Hunter days(okay the premier season sparked an upturn in attendances as you would expect). The season before we got to prem was disappointing until latter stages and I remember only 9000 being there when we beat Charlton and looked like we could really get promoted. Some will make excuses saying its “because of this n because of that”, but they don’t come much bigger for us than the game we juat had. Folks on here were also saying they wouldn’t go to Wembley if had got there(unlikely now), so that is my point, we are only an averagely supported team imo. It is what it is I suppose. Folks might say they peeed off but clubs go through far worse periods than what ours as been this season.

Thing is though it’s a match where we were taking bad form into, on sky, Friday before a bank holiday so people might have gone away a lot of contributing factors to a lower crowd

The attendances will continue to fall because the club do nothing to encourage new supporters and continue to alienate existing ones in ever increasing numbers. The boards business plan does not encourage supporters their constant mistakes alienate supporters

Higher average attendance this season than in 8 out of 10 of the seasons under Clarke/Hunter. Of the two which were higher back then, one was a promotion season and it was only higher by 70 fans, the other was in the league above this.
