We have been like this all season though, we just got very lucky with results that were far better than the performances.

    This is like Owls Talk.
It's a poor run - all clubs have 'em.
Some fans have got use to managers going every 10 months - yes that's the average tenure at Oakwell.
It's one of the reasons we're in the Third Division (old money)
Collins may or may not be the right guy - but he get's more time from me.
For the most part the reason people like Kane and Cole want to go has nothing to do with him.

They might as well end the season for us now as we are going nowhere the players appear to have chucked the towel in,sad really.

I think this is spot on. I’ve not been critical of performance based on our results and league position v expectation, but as things are, I’d prefer if he wasn’t here next season, same goes for some of our players too.

Alex Ferguson who won a European trophy with Aberdeen you mean?

He was never abysmal, it just took a while to change the culture and mess at Man Utd.

I saw one bloke get extremely riled and personnel because another bloke walking past had the temerity to clap the players….. jeez! Really does feel like everything is polarised nowadays…

No comment on the pointless poll, it seems like there's one of them on here after every defeat.
That's an interesting comment about holding out a handshake towards Duffer though, wondering if he would come back here. How many fans would want that, if or when Collins does go, which is looking more inevitable!.

But the board would. They gave Max Watters a contract after his performances on loan.

Unless there are some plans to replace Cadden, Williams, Cole and Kane that don't involve non-league spreadsheet results, he won't come back.

Not quite true. Ferguson had been successful in Scotland and had been hunted by English teams before Manchester United secured him. Although there is the often told story of Mark Robins saving his job the truth is that Ferguson had got Manchester United to a second place finish long before that happened happened (their best finish for 8 years) and while he was arguably failing at Manchester United it was clear he wasn't a bad manager it just wasn't working out. He had already proven himself before even joining Manchester United so he wasn't a new unproven manager who was abysmal who suddenly became better. He was a proven good manager who had already seen his sides pick up 12 trophies and had been an international manager and had already received an OBE for his management career who was going through a bad spell which is completely different scenario to what we have at Barnsley.

If he loses the Champions League Final in May 2027, then for me he's got to go.

Couldn't see Duff returning whatsoever, loved to be proved wrong but I got the feeling he'd had enough of how we operate, yes he knew the script before taking the job but probably only half, remember a few of his early interviews saying what an eye opener it had been.
Plus you have to factor him going long haul again.
