In fairness, I think we've been quite lively these first 10 mins or so. Even Russell looks more "mobile". Just Cole. Whenever it goes to Cole, the move breaks down, or we lose possession entirely. What did Cosgrove do so wrong in that last match to warrant being dropped to the bench?! *just seen Cole get brushed off like he weighs nothing in the box!
Never a penalty in a month of Sundays. Cole needs to be far, far stronger in those sorts of positions. I'd be FUMING if we conceded a penalty like that.
I think you’re the only person watching that replay, home and away, that doesn’t think that’s a penalty. Even their commentators said it was stonewall.
And that's what happens when you give away the ball needlessly in your own half and then commit an equally needlessly foul 20 yards out that - top scorer who's good at free kicks takes it and it's 1-0 down yet again.
Funny thing is I work with someone who doesn’t watch or like football but ended up in a box at Oakwell against Cambridge. Asked him what his thought were and he said the bloke up front just falls over all the time and looses the ball. Quite funny as this is someone with zero football knowledge it’s that blatant to see if Cole doesn’t score his impact on the game is pretty much zero.
