He said in the post match interview he wasn’t fit but was nearly there. Not sure he will be starting Tuesday
Fair enough mate. I just wouldn't move MDG. It was him being in the middle of the back 3 the reason we equalised, with a fantastic ball over the top. Ironically his worst games for us have been at the right of a back 3 as well. Perhaps he will need to move there then to accommodate McCart, but let's hope somehow Pines will be fit so MDG doesn't have to move and Williams can go to right back!
Won't happen against Shrewsbury, but we can't be far away from a team of Roberts, Williams, McCart, Earl, Pines, Cadden, Kane, Connell, Phillips, Cole and Mcatee.
I would never play De Gevigney on the right of a three. His lack of pace is immediately exposed. And the greatest talent he has, his ability to read the game and position himself accordingly, is pretty much nullified. He's not a battling centre half, he's a cultured player who should sit between two bigger/faster players who pick up runners or mark forwards selected to win the ball in the air.
For who though? Cadden was my MOTM today and I haven't even picked him. Could be some fab selection headaches to come for Neil.
What you mean, for who? MDG has been our best & most consistent centre half by a mile this season. He needs to stay in that defence, preferably in the middle. Pines MDG Earl. Williams & Cadden wing backs?
Roberts Pines MDG Earl O’Keeffe Cadden Phillips Russell Kane Cole McAtee Subs: Killip Williams Cotter McCart Grant Cosgrove Marsh I’m a Jordan Williams fan but his confidence is shot to pieces at the minute. I’d give him a couple of games on the bench to take the heat off him.
