I think the thing that smarts most with me and Watters, is the length of contract. We bounced straight from the Iseka/Oulare catastrophe, to Watters. That Sheffield Wednesday goal is probably the most lucrative goal he will ever score. Again, we'd be all be praising the contract term if he was currently sat on 15 goals. As it stands, I'd be genuinely surprised if he gets 15 goals over the rest of his contract...but I do get your point.
Oh don't get me wrong - I wasn't eschewing the virtues of the signing of him! I was just saying that I understand why we do what we do, in that there's always a chance that we drop on with someone who can get us some real resale value.
