DONOVAN PINES | 'I WANT TO WIN AT ALL COSTS' Interviews We had an exclusive chat with Donovan Pines for iFollow Barnsley after he put pen to paper for the Reds. Continue reading on the official site...
He’s only been here 2 minutes and already lost an inch in height. Sure I read he was 6’5, this article says he’s 6’4
At all costs? Global Warming leading to societal breakdown? The sun going supernova? While I applaud his enthusiasm, I find his reckless disregard for human life in the pursuit of victory some what irresponsible.
Watched his interview last night and just watched the behind the scenes video now. Link here for iFollow: https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/ifollow/latest-videos/ I’ve got a really good feeling about this signing.
Watching the behind the scenes video and it’s really crazy how much must go into getting a transfer sorted. At least 3 days of medicals and tests and that’s after all the negotiations and scouting that’s gone on before hand! Huge for him to be moving over here as well to play. Think he’s going to ace it but might have a slow start to get up to speed with the league.
I'm impressed he managed to get to Birmingham and back while hooked up to an MRI machine on Thursday.
The most animated I have seen Niall Collins since his arrival at Oakwell. Hopefully this signing will be the platform for a great January for the Reds. Wonder how many months it will take for his documentation to clear before he can play. The guy is a unit we've gone supersized.
An inch less than what you said doesn’t make much difference. At least that’s what I told the wife on our honeymoon
Don't forget that US inches are different from UK inches in that the conversion would make him taller in America than over here. Or is that shorter? In America he can change a light bulb without needing a step ladder, over here our ceilings are higher. Also US pines are older than ours so therefore taller. Obviously. Keep up.
That's without considering buying/renting a house, or planning for your partner, kids, school, partners work, parents, etc etc. Must be tough going for overseas players a lot of the time - wish more people would actually think about it all before slating every aspect of the club and our owners/manager/staff! Wish that music was turned down a little so I could actually hear what was getting said Can't wait to see this guy in action. Mix between Bambo and Mawson, thee watch!
Didn’t realise until he was signing the shirt he has only actually signed on a one year deal (with option of another), which means he is likely to be a short term solution.
Yeah, music was a bit loud in places but still good to see the activities. That would be some combination! Have a feeling his time with us may be successful but fairly short lived. If he has a good 18 months hopefully it means us as a club also has a successful 18 months.
18th month deal (will probably end up being 2 1/2 years). Not sure that's overly short term? Especially given the optional year is in our favour
