Imho....A scruffy, mucky kind of game low on technical ability with both sides guilty of scrappy poor play. Passing is genrally poor and so is thought and movements.
Reading are half a yard quicker and look the fitter side.
Cole is struggling up top but has been frustrating for 4 or 5 games.
Phillips yet again not at the races.
As we all know the defence is .....ahem let's be kind and say work in progress.
1...1 is a good result. I think they look as poor as we do at times...thankfully.
Yiadom best player on the pitch.

Truly abmissal and soul destroying first 20 minutes though we've looked a lot better since the substitution. They still look dangerous coming forward but I feel there's something in this game for us if we show a little belief and application. Keep it tight after the break and we've got a chance - would like to see Cotter in advanced position and run at them.

We a bit flat. We need support, I guess.

Even the commentators mentioned that it seems open season if you have a target man, and they are not allowed to react. He has been pushed over several times, without a foul being given, but he's penalized every time he reacts. Same with Tedic last season.

Not beaten a top half team, not lost to a bottom half team, looks like that is about to change

Changes. Need to be made now. Bet he waits till 70 minutes. (I know we've made one due to injury). Collins is utterly useless as a tactician for me & we are very lucky to still be in the game, after showing very little.

Awful game. 2 very poor teams playing each other barely capable of doing the basics right but even within that we are being outplayed.

Cole and Phillips completely anonymous. Cosgrove making the argument for Jalo better than I can. Kane and Connell poor. Defence dreadful. On the plus side Styles has played well since coming on. Low bar I admit.

One of our players hit a pass in the 22nd/23rd minute that would have put Hoddle to shame. A thing of absolute immense beauty. For that, I forgive the team for an otherwise disjointed and leaderless first half.

Luca Connell, if it was the ball played through to O’Keeffe.

That's my frustration so far this season because even though Collins is struggling to knit our players into a team that have any purpose the majority of matches in Lg1 are still winnable.

Started this half as we finished the first, like a bunch of uninterested competition-winners.
