Apologies for the non Sheffield Wednesday post. No write up today as I've not had time. Normal service will be resumed before Reading on Saturday. Hopefully Neill has learnt his lesson and will play a more competitive squad for this game. I'm hoping for him to experiment with the formation in preparation for league action. He often played 3-4-3 at Tampa I believe, with a strong centre half at the base and a playmaker in the number 10. I believe Mael and McAtee could be key in that role. Blackpool have rotated half of their squad in their group fixtures, so if we play a strong side, we should give them some problems. I'm going for 1-2 with Cosgrove and McAtee on the scoresheet.
Hard to judge these as I have no clue on the team we will put out. I imagine it might be a bit stronger than the squad that played at Bradford, I think Collins alluded to that last night. I’ll go 1-1. Us winning on penalties.
I`m predicting a runout for Russell, Phillips, Cosgrove, Watters, O`Keefe, McCarthy with a smattering of youngsters. Paid my tenner and live in hope!
I’m hopeful as looks like we’re going strong judging by the U21 team we’ve put out this aft. Blackpool I suspect will be similar as they had no fixture at the weekend but they have hit a bump in the road the past 2 weeks. I’m going 2-1 with a late winner from McAtee.
