    To be honest if you’ve been married for 23 years I’m imagining your choice of a microwaved Chinese meal and watching football on iFollow being the itinerary for her special day won’t come as any surprise to your wife…

    So do something to actually surprise her. Tell her the football’s on, tell her you don’t care, she’s your priority, and that you’ve booked her something lovely. Have a great evening.

    You can find out we’ve been old manned by Wycombe again afterwards.

    Likewise JD. I have 1 sister and 1 brother. Summat must have been in the air in march. (March airs) for our mam n dad. :)

    Me 27th dec.
    12 yrs between the 3 of us. But birthdays, weren't really celebrated. As Christmas was 1 continuous celebration. Or Football for me and mi bro lol.

    Or he could just give her a tenner. (Spoil my missus I do. I dont ask for the change) and tell her to push the boat out at t'airdressers. And him gu tut match. Then Pretend he stopped in. (4hrs at t'airdressers he'll be there and back in time) then tell her how beautiful she looks. And tek her tut pub fot last half hr.

    She had actually agreed, nay loved the idea, of having the multi chinese in the cottage we are staying in, rather than going out, and since we have our two doggies with us we can't take them into a restaurant and a bar meal is a bit of a poor second/third best.
    So I did ask her to check when Barnsley's next game was (I feigned ignorance) and when she told me it was Wycombe tomorrow well I was shocked !
    Imagine my surprise.
    Anyway there's a lucky bag full of presents from me and the dogs, some bubbly and a huge meal.
    My stock is still good but I'll be treading carefully.
    And yes, there is duck !

    Btw not Real Madrid we are playing......cozy up and forget footy in the lovely cottage.....Barnsley at oakwell will only put you to sleep or get you angry, either way (or both) spend time on her special day with the wife.
