Has anyone seen him when he's played in midfield thought he's bossed it today. The Val team at left wing back I can recall a fair few games where he played really well,I keep thinking come on Callum lad show me your as good as you think you are.

He should be heads and shoulders above anything in this division if the hype was correct. He’s not. He’s in his preferred position and still doesn’t impact games than he did playing LWB.

I know mate, that's what I meant about him pulling no trees up with the other 6 months he was fit. Cant pretend this style of football suits him however, probably doing him a disservice

I heard a rumour that Callum Styles' advent calendar counts down to January 1st.

I don't think he's on his own there, even Phillips good players don't turn bad over night

Yeah I just find him frustrating he's 24 in 4 months not 19 anymore I think he should be doing alot better this season in a poor league up against lesser opposition. But he hasn't been great at all

Bit early for clubs to give up on the idea of either staying up or going up when we aren't even halfway through the season yet.

Callum should be looking one of the very best midfielders in the league this season. He's clearly not. He doesn't come close to impacting a game the way either Connell or Phillips did last season. If Phillips was performing like he did last year I don't think Styles would be getting a look in. What concerns me a little with Phillips is why he isn't playing like he was.

Mmm you are reyt so only conclusion I can come up with em when you chuck Watters keep being picked and Cosgrove seemingly blacklisted, Mr Collins is the issue and I still maintain he’s out of his depth

Phillips isn't looking anything like because of the style of play. The three midfielders this year have nowhere near as much free reign as last season. Their instructions aren't to get forward like they were last year. Thats the same reason why kane isn't looking anything like too.

The defence behind our midfield is nowhere near as good as last season which is probably one of the reasons Collins doesn’t want the midfield to bomb forward as much.

If the defence isn't as good, we shouldn't be inviting pressure onto them by fannying around in our own half.

I'm not sure why he persists in having Williams in a back 3. Only time Williams should be in a back 3 is if the defensive line is high for his pace to sweep up. Otherwise he should be wing back hid best position.

I'd rather play Fern Brittain than Callum Brittain.

Allegedly. I’ve heard about people talking to him in a pub in town last Saturday and he said he’d not been playing due to not being selected. Is today’s website interview after a clear the air talk?

Probably a Collins P45 talk. I expect some forced common sense team selections. It invariably happens after a few poor results. Managers lose the dressing room so they try and get back to basics too late. By this time the players have sussed them and even the best 11 downs tools.
