You wouldn't have thought so but then at the same time you wouldn't expect him to be playing regularly for Hungary. I know it's a standard joke but I genuinely thought Luton would be all over this kind of transfer.
I think he has the talent and will have a decent career still only young. Flashes of been decent this season but mostly poor, heart of a pea. 2million is the release fee half of that and I would snatch their hands off.
But he hasn't really been consistent since Val, even last year at Millwall when he wasnt injured he still struggled for proper game time and still didn't pull up no trees. I think his stock has seriously fallen at the minute
I think he's a good footballer. Maybe a little bit inconsistent at times but he's doing well for Hungary. Callum Brittain is playing in the Championship, I think Callum Styles is well able to too.
Let's be right, Callum Styles will be a top, top footballer. It won't be with Barnsley, as by the time we stop yo-yo-ing between divisions he'll already be at his peak. It's best for all that he moves on to keep his career on the upward trajectory many have predicted since he was a bairn. if he goes, it will be with my best wishes and gratitude.
A player who quite frankly was a main player (if not the main one ) Who along with Walton were both outstanding when they came into the side stayed up, under Struhber. He's more than a very good footballer, imo who's lost his way a little. And I'm not surprised given all the stuff going on in his head. 23yrs of age. Close to 200 games. Not a bad stat at this stage of his career given injuries as well.
He has talent without doubt. It’s his lack of fight and failure to impose himself on games that I’ve a problem with. Best for all parties that he finds another club. Be amazed if we get more than £1m or even that much for him though.
Don’t think he’s quick enough or strong enough to be a top player average championship player at best for me .
