Didn't know there was such a thing, but there are annual awards for the top 4 tiers of the English league and the SPL. Award is for CEO of the Year. So maybe a decent place to start the search and be realistic of who we could attract, by that I'm ruling out the Prem and Championship winners. So by division for 2022/23 we have :- League 1 - Neil Hart, Bolton League 2 - Sarah Barry, Harrogate Town SPL - Steven Ferguson, Ross County
Bolton no - still seem to be spending what they don’t have. Harrogate a great shout - but a big step up. But fair play to them as a club. I always look out for their results in L2.
Sarah Barry wouldn't be a bad shout as the best in league two. https://www.harrogateadvertiser.co....e-is-named-league-two-ceo-of-the-year-4162583 We've two women on our board and another as our head physio. Why not one as our CEO
Surely we can find a long standing loyal fan that is currently working in a CEO role elsewhere willing to take up the challenge.
I'm CEO of Merde Tete Enterprises, a vaguely successful one man organisation with clients across the globe (Estonia, Georgia, definitely not Russia, and Bradford). I've got a 2.2 in English from Sheffield University so I'd have no problems with writing the communications. My player trading skills are probably a bit rusty, but I reckon if I crack out my BBC Micro Football Manager game and my 1988 Panini swaps, I'll be ready in a week or so. First signings - Martin Keown and Barry Venison.
Wouldn’t surprise me if it was one of Collins American connections from his previous club. Be good to get someone in who’s on the same page with Collins.
Be amazed if it’s someone we have heard of. Personally I would look at getting Robert Zuk to step up to CEO role & bring in a DOF to look after footballing side.
I’ve got a mate who has applied for the Rotherham job every time it’s going. He sends in his FM stats and results with a PowerPoint. Tbh surprised they’ve never given him a go. He does get a nice letter every time though.
