In that case he might be better off for now being loaned out to somewhere where he gets proper game time, cos he's still got a lot to learn. He won't get game time with us.
He'd be better getting 20 mins plus stoppages in League 1 than wiffing pie n' peas at York or North Ferriby Utd.
He'd be better, as I posted, getting full games in somewhere or other, rather than being behind 4 or so at the Well.
yeah it’s just because he wasn’t getting the minutes. Gives him the chance to push his case until Jan when I’m sure they will review.
I'd say no, if he can't get a game at York I doubt he will get much here. Having said that Cosgrove and watters look like they should be at York at times.
In my opinion based on performances in a red shirt he shouldn't be behind 4 or so others at the well. If he was a loanee from Cardiff or Luton he'd have been regularly playing and we'd be excusing any poor performances. Because he's from our academy he gets overlooked in favour of the players from supposedly better teams despite their poor performances. It's something we've always done for some reason
The 4 I'm thinking of are all non-loanees. So in that sense it's a matter of whether he's better than who's on the books. If he was developing into a proper footballer, then why has he not been doing owt out on loan?
At least if Marsh was playing behind the front two in the role Mcatee does he can finish whereas Macatee squanders chances. Granted Marsh is not the tallest of players but is the same height as Ronnie Galavin and Craig Hignett and they did quite well as I remember. I think if he can stay injury free Marsh could develop into a half decent player given the chance.
Imho we have too many strikers. Jalo and Marsh as backup, one other to partner Cole. quality not quantity is required.
It should mean Marsh and maybe Jalo playing in the Trophy game at Bradford. While I'm pleased he's come back, I also thought it was a sensible decision at the time to loan him out somewhere. Yeah it was a right bit of Sensible soccer ehh lol. But I also think this is more to do with it not working at York, and us sending him out again.
Collins chose to play Max Watters and send Marsh out on loan. Why do people think Collins will change his opinion after a failed loan spell in non league football
Agree. How many loan spells can he have though? He’s played for us, and York already. Does he have to wait until Jan now to go back out?
If he’s played for two teams already doesn’t that mean he can’t play for another club this season that’s not us or york? Might have got that wrong though
Yes to play for a team in the EFL . Non league ,they can send him out again as the window is open for this.
Well it's not took him long to get on the score sheet today for the academy at Coventry , 1 up after 10 minutes.
Why can't the first team ever do that ehh, win away at Cov!!. Marsh might get the chances with us this season, but its going to be frustrating for him I reckon, just regular sub appearances.
I'd rather him get regular sub appearances for us and Max watters not make the bench than watters stroll around and marsh not get a chance. At least marsh looks interested when he plays unlike watters and even Cosgrove and tedic last season and all the others weve regularly given chance after chance to just because they come in on loan or signed from a bigger named club. We always seem willing to give youngsters a chance in defence where their mistakes really cost us but eventually they improve but rarely do the same up front for some reason. Maybe it's that there are more failing strikers available to bring in from clubs looking to offload them than there are defenders I don't know
