…that will be two consecutive months without a league goal for their Goal of the Month competition. Such a shame, isn’t it? Chortle!
They could let the fans choose any of the many goals conceded though. On second thoughts, too much choice might blow their minds.
We've scored 29 league goals this season, Wednesday have had 25 shots on target all season. Coincidentally, Rotherham have only had 1 more, however they have the highest rate of goals per shots on target in the league, Wednesday have the lowest.
Rotherham must be a cracking watch based on those stats. I bet the loudest chant at the Aeseal Stadium is "shoot".
Tbh Stephen I worked with quite a few and found em more like us. Donny are or were a different kettle of fish. Claiming in some cases, a history akin to ours on the pitch. League standings etc. I, on the whole, wish Rotherham well. Cos if it's not us getting bragging rights over wendy I'm glad its them.
They took great joy when we lost in the Play-Off Final. I can only speak for the bunch of arseholes I had for past family and people with no teeth that frequented the County Borough.
That's my feeling too winker but in the 80s I proper hated Rotherham Ronnie Moore and co, Probably because us and Rotherham have traded places in recent times where as s6 lot have been in the same league as little old Barnsley.most of the time.
Just had a chat with a Wendy neighbour and I gleefully asked him about the goal of the month situation. He informed me they did actually notch in September, a 1-1 v Boro. I was crestfallen but he took very little pleasure in his revelation....
I dont know if it was hatred. In my case. as much as a strong rivalry. But I now look back at that rivalry with fondness. Ronnie Moore loved the song. And allus took it in his stride tbf.
I think it’s fair to say the vast majority of football fans in Yorkshire will be hoping for a Rotherham win this Sunday.
