Good point. My memory is playing tricks on me. I thought he played a few games up front. I will replace Kenny with Lee Glover in my top 10 of worst Barnsley players.
In no particular order Frimpong Shea Mattis Regis Onibujie Keith Brown Mido Gibbs Knight edit - Burton Dangerous Brian I could go on and on really... we've had some sh1t3
Deon Burton is the worst, cos he didn’t want to be here Frimpong close behind Willie Ferry was hopeless Stephen Bennett even worse And Obbi Oulare worse still I don’t think anyone reaches the depths of those 5 The fat keeper was pretty awful. Can’t even remember his name, but he went on holiday with Flicker I’m struggling to think of any more who were just 100% bad, cos I tend to not dwell on the rubbish ones. We’ve had such a turnover of players this century that it’s difficult to keep on top of them all. I’m not going to say Paul Gibbs, because he wasn’t up to the standard, but that wasn’t his fault. He tried, and wasn’t totally awful. Same with Mido. I was at a wedding and missed his only first team appearance, but I’d seen him in a preseason game at Stocksbridge and, whilst he had his limitations, he was the best player on the pitch. Talented players not giving us anywhere near 100% are almost as bad as the hapless ones, so players like Jacob Mellis, Chris Lumsden and Kevin Donovan annoy me much more than the players who come in and play one or two games when they are not up to the standard.
Phil Gridelet - had no impact on any games whatsoever. Paul Gibbs, even though he tried. Cyrille Regis' brother. Neil Warnock
Absolutely this. And neither should Scott Wiseman who was part of a team who were 8th at the start of February 2012 and was then really good in the following season's great escape. He was definitely poor in the intervening period but surely our worst players have to have been crap throughout?
With you and Fired on this one. Never struck a bat in all the time he was with us. As an aside, Mido cannot qualify for these lists IMHO purely based on his comedy value. Thought Big Keef might have got more out of him though. (Which reminds me, Jay 'Machiavelli' must be up there!)
I'd like to see the best in all our players .... But 4 Ian Woan 3 Brek Shea 2 Champions league player, lets punch the ball into a Preston Players head for him to score - aka Vito Mannone 1 He's Dench, He's not a foobballer, He's Fringpong
Liam dickinson Scott wiseman Tom Kennedy Mike pollit Maceo righters Mvoto Zeki fryers Matt Bailey Frigging fringpong Gary o connor
Frimpong did one thing of note - he got a red card which shows an ounce of effort. Red card not a great start but at least it was vs Wednesday having a go at their players. Burton would have just shrugged and let their player go past.
If you’ve not got ‘quarterback’ Tom Kennedy and Mike Flynn on your list you’ve not been watching. Both simply as bad as it gets.
Rigters, Frimpong, Oulare and Mido stand out for taking the **** Hill’s Rochdale lot were bad but each had a decent spell, so harsh to include them imo.
Chris Hedworth - probably more famous for being the second goalkeeper in the game where Newcastle played 3 and lost 1-8 to West Ham. Darren Foreman Paul McGuigan We really need to have some criteria for minimum games played. Although many of the players listed were first team regulars for a spell. So you have to remember that there were players *worse* than them in the reserves...
