Very interesting chat with the man involved with Joy Division, Slaughter & the Dogs, the Fall, the Buzzcocks, Frantic Elevators, (Mick Hucknall) & the Drones, amongst others. A bit of footie reference too, with the visit of the Man Utd Cup Final squad in 1977, Brian Greenhoff bringing a Barnsley connection. Interview takes a few minutes to get going, but is then quite entertaining IMO.
PS, I know one or two posters were interested in my interview with JFK, which will be part 4. He's away till 10th of this month, but shall be scheduling an interview for part 4 when he is back. That will wrap up this series. That is likely to go out early October, as I'm away DJing up & down the country in late September. He put my band on many times in the 90's at the Duchess & the Irish Centre. Such a great bloke. I'm hoping to get the whole series licensed as a podcast on a few other channels later in the year. It has been a very interesting experience. I've not really done any radio interviews before, but good to get such varied guests on shows 2 to 4. I'm hardly Parky, but I think I know my onions & that brings the best out in the guests. I have other interview / music shows on hip hop & jazz to come next, then maybe an indie / alternative one after that. Thanks to everyone who has taken a listen thus far.
