Why are premier league and championship teams permitted to name 9 substitutes but only 7 are allowed for league one and two? Surely the pro game should be played to the same rules? Is it a concession on cost for squad size or something? Any club could have a couple of kids as extra on the bench.
I might have completely made this up in my head but I think league 1 and 2 teams voted against the 9 man subs bench to try to reduce costs with hotel and travel costs to away games mentioned
Not saying your wrong cos I don’t know, but I thought you don’t have to fill your quota of subs on a bench so why would clubs limit when they can choose to just take less?
It’s always suggested that it helps the bigger clubs having more subs but when we were in the championship under Val we benefited from it probably more than anyone with him nearly always using the full five to change games. Often clubs with bigger budgets have stars who don’t tend to come off the pitch so it can work the other way.
I'm a substitute for another guy I look pretty tall but my heels are high The simple things you see are all complicated I look bloody young, but I'm just back dated, yeah
