Kane is only saying what the fans think and he trains with these players every day we all know that as it stands the squad isn’t good enough.
Last year of contract, decent player, potentially gets a bigger contract next year by running down his existing one with BFC. Unless someone out there is going to offer cash to sign him and an uplift on contract he’ll run down and be off in the summer. Probably one of the bigger earners given he signed for quite a whack at the time.
At board level the club doesn’t have a leader. It has managers. ‘Overall, the key difference is that a manager will focus on planning, organising, and coordinating resources to manage tasks and deliver results. A leader will inspire, motivate, and influence those around them which will drive people to achieve their goals and objectives whilst working towards the bigger picture.’ The lack of leadership (I think Kane and many others sense this) is the root of all our problems.
I suppose it was an open interview in terms of saying we need players, rather than being open about his contract. I said it the other day that we should be putting contracts in front of Cole, Cadden and Kane now before it’s too late. I was hoping we had done in the background but I guess not.
I'm pretty confident he'll be gone by the end of the window. It doesn't sound like a new contract is likely and our board would rather sell a player for 10p than lose them for free.
Good, he’s only saying what most are thinking! We’re not good enough at present & need a good few players through the door. Not non league players either.
We will never achieve nothing with the current board at the helm unfortunately. Lee and Conway bought in better players
Yes I'm thinking the same. The manager already alluded that once he,s seen all his players in action he'll sit down with the recruitment team and discuss where to strengthen. As for the contract situation why should he tell anybody what his thoughts are at the moment its down to him and the club, mainly him. Nobody mentioned what he said about enjoying his football here. I'll listen to the full interview on Radio Sheffield instead of making a judgment on a 60 seconds snippit.
The full interview isn't an encouraging listen. He seems to have gone into the interview determined to make public the fact that he (and presumably others in the dressing room) don't think the squad's good enough to get close to last season's finish as it stands. It can't be a good environment for the new signings to be around either if longer serving players are viewing the new recruits as sub par. Worrying.
Again all our actions have been nothing like a club looking to get promoted this season. Easy for all to see.
Is this the same manager that cancelled pre season friendlies in favour of training sessions?....... Apparently
He just come across though he hasn't got a Brian, should go for the part as the scarecrow in wizard of OZ
If that’s true (not listened yet) it raises two immediate thoughts to me 1)He shouldn’t be doing that, he’s basically thrown his current team mates under the bus 2) If he has that mindset how the hell did the Club allow him to do the interview, why not send someone else.
