Just looked at the forecast for Saturday, heavy rain and storms from morning til night. Wonder what state the pitch will be in at 3pm. Hope it doesn't get abandoned.
Get it called off to save the pitch for Tuesday night when Norwood gets to play against his former club.
Unless the forecast changes, I am unlikely to travel tomorrow. 6 hours of driving in the rain is not something that appeals. I could travel by train but with an overtime ban I may not get back on Saturday night.
Maybe at the time he posted he didn't know that Norwood had left in which case Norwood could have played against his former club (Tranmere)
There's always the music... "I'm driving home to Oakwell Oh, I can't wait to see those faces I'm driving home to Oakwell, yea Well I'm moving down that line And it's been so long But I will be there I sing this song To pass the time away Driving in my car Driving home to Oakwell" We'll be top by Christmas, yea
3 Hours on the train on Saturday. Watch the first home victory. Celebrate around town. Find a friendly person to put up with you for a night. Train back hungover on Sunday. Sorted Although if I tried this, I'd either spend the night in A&E or sleeping in a shop doorway before getting home to find all my clothes on a bonfire!
