I think he thinks like a few of us they will probably come down on as we have been fined a couple of times already.
As far as I can tell our charge is very similar to one brought against Birmingham earlier this year. I hope and expect we will be dealt with in the same way. In that case the former directors were heavily punished and the club were given a 2 point deduction, suspended for a season and only to be imposed in case of further misdemeanours. Like us Birmingham fully cooperated with the inquiry.
We've been fined for crowd-related issues IIRC. I really don't see that having any effect on the current charges. Think how long it finally took before Reading, Derby and Wednesday were finally deducted any points.
Calm darn, Calm darn suspended points deduction an a fine, at most.. C,O,Y,R, keep the faith, if all else fails i'll see you sooner than you think darn at Queensgate. Yoooooou Reeeeeeeds.
came here to say this! it’s not points scoring but f**k me some people need to give their head a wobble here.
A well balanced summation. Thank you. No one knows what the future holds with regard to how we will be punished by the EFL, but I just hope for the best, rather than expecting the worse. This attitude helps me through the day. This BBS is my daily link to my home town, and to (some) likeminded fans, from far far away, and I need it to keep rumbling on.
Only potential difference was the individuals seemed to make sure they took the brunt themselves not the club they each got fined £45k as opposed to clubs £35k. How confident are we Conway/Chien will do same?
seems to me that bfc has done nothing wrong, it saw that conway and lee were up to something (????), investigated it, then told the efl their findings, not trying to cover anything up so why should the whistleblower be punished ?
My thoughts exactly. We definitely haven’t gained any unfair advantages on field by paying with money we haven’t got. So a points deduction would be very unfair. We are in a lower position than what we were when fat man & Chien took over. Looks like we’re being open & honest, something a lot of clubs up & down the leagues should be doing.
With our record of getting in to trouble with the EFL regularly in recent years, I would take that punishment, as we must be close to points deduction and behind closed doors.
EFL disciplinary panel to include - A Mr T. Robinson residing near Brighton, his mate, a Mr G. Willard, also of Sussex, and a Mr J. Barton, normally residing at His Majesty's Pleasure.
