You was slagging cryne off for years and fell for these clowns. I've been posting on here for years and can remember. Maybe recently piss takes but before last season the love was very real from you.
Derby and Wednesday also too.. according to twitter. Which is fair do's after a few of our ,, holier tha thou fans.. could't wait to have a kick Wigan and Derby in days past. Just have to take it on the chin
Slagged all the owners off since Dennis at various points, we've been treading water for years since then, we've not moved on. I'd be happy for the current lot to sell up if we could find some investment. We don't seem to be able to though. I've given over falling for anything with regards to football, that's why l no longer give a **** when a player goes. More things to worry about than football at the minute.
Except we haven't repeatedly spunked stupid money on excessive wages to chase promotion. Or preferred rugby league.
Well under lee and conman we were moving just in the wrong direction they took us from a healthy bank balance to debt.
A few dots are beginning to get joined up here. Duff eluded in his statement that the Clubs' ambitions for this coming season did not match his own, which on the face of it seem odd as we've just lost a play-off final, surely the aim is to go one better the coming season. We're selling our assets and replacing them with very little in terms of experience. I now believe the club is readying itself for a massive fine and sizeable points deduction. Afterall, why would we get to a play-off final then suddenly decide that next year, we aren't going to try and recruit to go up. I think they're recruiting a team on a shoe-string knowing we'll likely finish around 15th this year. They're not going to have lashed out loads of money on decent players and their wages when they had a fairly good suspicion that we'd have to overcome a large points disadvantage. Take this one on the chin, grind this season out and build from there. If Conway or Lee ever ahow their face in Barnsley, they want stringing up.
Not at the start, wanting to break even and got us close to the Prem that we will ever be. It then went tits up.
totally different scenario, they were spending money they didn't have to chase promotion, this sounds more like internal manipulation for personal reasons to me
At the start? Like I said they took over with a healthy bank balance. Sold potts in the middle of a promotion campaign with 2 years left on his deal for peanuts, when promoted sold our top scorer and 2 key defenders. And don't get me started on the best window ever where we spunked about 6 million on a load of *****. They also appointed 2 head coaches who's football was so bad season ticket holders packed it in half way through the season and oakwell was more or less empty.
An awful lot of ‘told you so’ going on on this board. Talking like we, the fans, had a choice in the matter. In the same way the people responsible for the situation are likely to walk away scot free while the club and the fans and yes, the current board suffer. It’s about time the people responsible were punished, but there’s little chance of that happening.
LOL They are there to protect the interest of this club. They took their time with Conway now that we are seeing the proof that everybody else knew that these two are absolute charlatans. The current board are not blameless in all this, and if you think they are then give your head a wobble. I know that some of you won’t agree, but I believe we need a change the ownership so we can have a fresh start and start moving this club forward since Patrick sold us. We have been fed nothing but lies. How much do we really know about the current owners? The current owners did the right thing in reporting this to the EFL was this just to cover their own backs before the EFL started doing the digging them self. Before anybody start saying nobody would want to buy Barnsley look how many owners wigan have had we are attractive opportunity We’ve got a fairly large fan base good facilities good Stadium with the right owner. This club could be pushing towards the Premier League.[/QUOTE]
Genuine question, where did he say that ? We haven’t finished recruiting. There’s more to come so it’s really impossible to say how well or badly we have recruited and it will take quite a few games to have any sense of that. I don’t believe that is the case. I base that on speaking to people at the club. I think you are reaching on this one.
Also them owing the crynes money to buy the club the big court case over that. then enquiring about ground sharing it was never good.
