Key to all of this, is that the EFL don’t appear to be saying that anyone was/is unfit to hold their position. Just that notifications and details weren’t made clear at the time. I suspect if all fit to hold position (in a legal sense), then punishment maybe minimal and possibly suspended.
There are pros and cons for splitting or not and I know even Patrick wasn't sure if what he did was for the best. I still think it was.
Never played snakes and ladders where you slide down a snake only for the next move to be up the ladder and home.
Arguably not the ideal model under normal circumstances, but I just dread to think the state we'd be in now, if they had managed to secure full ownership. I can't see much past that tbh. If it's the one thing that prevented full ownership under them parasites, then I'm eternally grateful.
I read it as all relating to the original purchase from the Cryne's, not the recent change of board control. The 'hidden investors' behind Conway are the ones who were not cleared as being fit and proper at the time of the purchase, as no-one knew they existed at that time. JAQ was one of these, we've later discovered, but I think that is incidental. I can only assume (hope) that when the boardroom changes occurred last season, the necessary disclosures were made at that time. Logically, they should have been, given that JAQ then publicly stepped up to become a director. The logic for this is that I'd expect JAQ and Neerav to have also been charged if the offences related to the later change of board make-up. The fact that its Conway and Lee being charged, alongside the club, point towards this all being related to the original takeover.
Manager ****** off Captain sold EFL charges and possible point deduction. I think today, or definitely this week would be a good time for Khaled to drop that good news.
Can't see it myself. I think it's drifting further and further away. Fart in a hurricane, dropping it now.
Provided Neerav is fit and proper then it seems that the worst the current regime could have done is to not fulfil the administrative processes. Given how assiduous they are in updating eg the Hong Kong authorities I even struggle with that to some extent. I'm just worried that the 38% plus not owned by Neerav, JAQ and the Crynes is ultimately owned by the Triads or summat and was from the outset which is when Lee (and Conway) had significant control.
This big news better be the club getting huge LEGAL investment. New stand. singing section. Michelle keegan doing strip teases at the half time break.
