Kinda thing I'd expect Josh Windass to come out with. Luckily for him, and everyone else, Putin still isn't armageddon-level insane. If he was, he could wipe them, and much of the planet, off the map.
Definitely a turn up for the books… must be an uneasy alliance as they have already committed high treason
Just listened to an interview with an alleged Wagner fighter on an independent Russian outlet. His opinion is that Prigozhin will be "liquidated" in the next 24 hours, although he stresses this is only his personal view.
It's pretty obvious that Prigozhin will be very quickly eliminated after what's happened. Lukashenko supposedly got him to back down. Can only assume that Prigozhin believed that there was big support for the Wagner group inside Russia and as they crossed over the border he expected that support to materialise which it hasn't. He will know he's completely ****** it now though.
Nobody else think this all feels a bit 'staged'?? Putin now gets to ride back in to Moscow with an apparent 'victory'. Hmmm......
There seems to be some confusion about whether Prigozhin was even travelling with the convoy up to Moscow, or whether he stayed back in Rostov. As for the irrelevant Lukashenko brokering some sort of "peace deal" - things really are getting completely absurd.
There are such opinions doing the rounds, but if it was a stunt, it was a pretty huge one. Not quite sure how you organise something like without anyone finding out in advance, while simultaneously ensuring 100% that a civil war doesn't break out.
Still alive as of this morning, with all of the criminal cases against him dropped! Putin is beginning to look completely out of his depth. This is far from over from what I can see. Quite possible someone else will have a pop at him in the next few weeks.
