.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...es-stay-Huddersfield-Town-manager-season.html Staying at Huddersfield for another season, good news for us; hopefully we can just focus on the season ahead with Duff at the wheel now….
Cue the armchair analysts looking at any vacancy within 150 miles of Cheltenham to link Duff to (I'm looking at you double relegationers ). A tiny minority will genuinely have a smidgeon of disappointment at this news, the doomers.
I never thought for a second that Duff would consider Huddersfield. But it’s good that it will kill off the speculation.
More chance of losing Duff during the season. There won't be many vacancies come up now during the summer. Clubs are preparing for next season. It's normally when it goes tits up the merry go round starts. There's a flip side too. The expectancy levels have risen now for Barnsley F.C. Duff's doing a great job but you're only as good as your last game. What's saying after 12 games we're near the bottom and automatic promotion seems a forlorn hope? I don't believe for a second that will be the case. However, I feel a little perspective is needed.
Personally given Khalids ‘good news’ speech I don’t believe he will leave this Summer either. Any news no matter how good it turns out to be would be hugely tarnished by him leaving for another club.
I hope Plymouth do well and he doesn't get in a relegation scramble. He's a good egg is Duff and I'd hate him getting poached and it frying our promotion chances.
Here he is I'm sure this will work out like your last prediction Sam: He’s definitely off isn’t he | The Barnsley FC BBS Fans Forum
The horrible Colin and Hudds Taarn, really do deserve each other. But when he gets sacked (or retires again before it happens) I hear Mr Schop and Mr Baghi are available again.
Not working out for him and now gone after the owner after the tweet he made, which will only result in one winner and that's the owner.
I find this amusing because Huddersfield fans were going on like Mr Nagle was going to come in and splash the cash over the summer. Not sure how much the new owner is worth but to be honest they seem to have done very little business in the transfer market and if I was a town fan then I'd be slightly worried. Warnock was in his element joining the club quite late on last season, backs against the wall, nobody thought they would stay up and he managed to galvanise them and somehow keep them up. This season it's a lot different having to do a full pre season and prepare pretty much the same squad for a full league season. The question should be asked if Warnock really has the passion for doing a full season at his age. He said himself prior to joining Huddersfield that he's a February-May manager now. Gone before Xmas (mutual agreement) is my guess.
Just had a message off a Huddersfield supporting mate of mine who's basically said it's an absolute **** show! They've re-signed Ruffles (left back who is steady away), Koroma (decent when he can be bothered but awful when not) and Ward (slow and hardly prolific). In respect of new players, they've signed a right back on loan and a striker on loan with an awful goal scoring record and that's it!
