Typical. I used to live half a mile from AFC Fylde, but now live back in God's country.

On their website, it says Guiseley will host a Barnsley XI, so I'd expect that to be mainly young players.

Fylde will be a good one. Weekend on the coast and complete the Blackpool, Fleetwood and Fylde treble.

Crewe at home on the other hand is very unappealing.

All the fixtures sound decent and they’ve all had good seasons, the Crew one reads to me as a confidence booster just before the season starts, prior to Crew the games look to get harder and harder and then we finish with a 5-0 against Crew just in case we end up drawing/losing to Blackburn/Hull. Better to finish off on a high, (no offence to Crew)

If I've learned anything from pre-season friendlies, it's that they are absolutely NO guide to how the season proper pans out. Seen us look like bloody world-beaters in July, only to get off to a shocker in the league. And vice-versa.

Wouldn't read too much into the fixtures....

I was thinking there were a very uninspiring bunch of games, but I missed that we were playing Fylde. First time there I think, so I’ll be going to that one, as well as the two home games. Certainly not going to Hull. Getting back to the train station the last time I went there was reminiscent of the film the Warriors, if you substitute ‘tough New York street gang’ for ‘a couple of slightly overweight middle aged blokes’

That was my thinking, as it was highlighted in the post, so six First XI games.

They sorted this out quickly for this coming season. It used to come in dribs and drabs.

Case in point, Callum Brittain scored a goal last pre season

See also: Big Keef's 11/12 start off. Can't remember who, think it was Rochdale but that's probably just because, smashed em 5-0 and we properly looked like Brazil. I was well excited.

    Then the season played out...

Ahh was that a 0-5 win at Scunny.
Then cowboy Keef really did his magic after the 100% pre season, and we only stayed up that season because of another teams administration.
