There were dozens of shining, gleaming bikes thundering down Dodworth High Street a short while ago. It took about ten minutes for them all to pass.
Were they dressed in vintage, dapper gear.? If so, it might be the same bunch..? They attempted to close the road to allow the following Pentathlon (?) to access the village. Even blocked the pavement outside my yard to clear access to the rear car park at the George. They’re raising money for a prostrate cancer charity. Which is lovely, but I was a little put off, when one lad called me the C word, when I politely asked him to move his bike to allow the old Teddier pass safely by.. (We’re local, you know.!!) I won’t be discouraging Ted from urinating on his bike, if it’s still there later. Posers.!! How are you anyway, old flower.? I’ve noticed you haven’t been getting to the footy? Me, neither. They certainly were dressed in vintage gear. Some of the bikers looked older than me! I've had to quit attending football due to ill health, but I still love my team & club. For me, this has been a wonderful season, coming straight after the most terrible one I've known.
