Two from three now. I have reasons why I'd love to see all the sides down there get relegated, but I'm leaning towards hoping that it's Everton and Leicester. Apart from being our local rivals, Leeds haven't really done anything to deserve our ire. Plus if we go up, Elland Road will remain an overpriced dump of a stadium. Everton have been mismanaged for years, yet always seem to sneak out of the mire. Leicester have cheated to get out of the Championship in the past, and got away with it pretty much scot free. Objectively, they both deserve to go down far more than our "friends" from up the M1.
If we win the play off final I want it to be Leeds. Otherwise our big local games next year will be Huddersfield and Rotherham.
Historically I have always hated Leeds due to living in West Yorkshire surrounded by Leeds fans. BUT I would gladly hope they stay up if it meant we win at Wembley. So I’m hoping Everton & Leicester drop, plus it would be nice to tick Goodison park off the list of stadiums visited.
I went to Goodison when we were in the Premier League. Incredible ground for atmosphere and architecture, though the views are somewhat limited. More pilars and columns than the acropolis!
Those wanting to visit Goodison might not say that if they get their wish - one of the worst away ends to visit! It's in Leeds hands at the minute - not sure West Ham will be up for it after Thursday so can see Leeds nicking a win today.
Limited is an understatement - I was in the upper tier that game which wasn't bad but went a few weeks ago for the women's Derby and was sat in lower tier- one of the worst views I've had at a game of football
I’m hoping for Leeds and Leicester. I hate Leicester with a passion. Not only did they cheat, yet again, in fact it was them cheating last time that brought about the rule change to add a points deduction, but also their fans are *****. Had problems with them whenever they happened to be on the same train as us. They were also so arrogant when last at Oakwell (“we’ll never play you again” and all that), and Jamie Vardy annoyed me beyond belief. Also, I like Sean Dyche and, although I’d like an established Premier League club to go down, I’d like it to be one of the others aand not Everton, reason being that the club does far in their local community than any other Premier League club.
Absolutely this. Everton and Leicester please. To be honest, Everton and someone. Just make it be Everton.
I want to see Everton go down. They’re due a relegation & a reset, a bit like when Villa & Newcastle were underachieving & in turmoil for several years in a row. Also a massive lesson in how not to run a football club
Apparently Everton due a points deduction but they haven't time deal with it in time for this season. Bet they'd find time if it was Barnsley and plenty of other teams.
Everton have done this before in the last game or last two games, which means they are a relegation just waiting to happen... eventually!. This time last season it was them and Leeds surviving, and sending Burnsley down. And it looks like neither team have learned from it. I'm not bothered either way though about Leicester.
It does, although it remains to be seen whether they can get it open by August next year, and what division they'll be in. It'll be a proper damp squib if they're playing outside the Premier League for the first game.
Owner is also desperately trying to raise funds to cover its payments which he's looking like defaulting on, relegation wont help that. Basket case club
